We had superb meal in Poppies fish and chip shop tonight. Cod for 2 deal with chips, side salad, mushy peas and a pot of curry sauce for £24.90. Batter was thin and very crispy, fish tasty and moist, we ate in shop and it looked very appetising. We will certainly be returning, it’s well worth the trip to Green Street Green.

Me and my boyfriend had half a cod and chips from here and it was lovely. The fish is so fresh and the batter is so crunchy. The chips are fluffy inside. Staff are very welcoming. The portion size is just right aswell. Will definitely be going back again 👍🏻

My mum and I have been to this fish and chip shop a few times now, and every visit has been just as good as the last! The quality is always consistent, and the staff are absolutely lovely. I was welcomed the moment I walked in, and they took the time to go through my order to make sure everything was right. They do a great deal on a fish for two, which is fantastic value for money and comes with generous portions. The batter was perfectly crispy and full of flavour. This is something that’s hard to find in chip shops these days. This will definitely be our go-to chippy from now on. Highly recommend!

We went for a fish and chip dinner this evening at Poppy, having heard good things from a local neighbourhood group. We were surprised to find no Facebook page or website, so could not get information about the place, but tried it anyway. The welcoming attitude of the staff was brilliant, and we sat down for our dinnerat one of the small tables.. We had the Fish and chips meal for two, which was good value, and cooked fresh, so took a few minutes, but well worth the wait. The cod we had was really good, and the portion sizes enormous. All in all I would highly recommend Poppy fish and chips..

The fish tastes so fresh and crunchy and the good kind of crunch. Honestly I could talk about it all day. I would recommend this place to any locals or people just passing by. They’re family friendly and pet friendly. Communication is the key. Most fish and chip places I’ve been to lacks the communication and warmth. These people are amazing, along side their food. Very tasty fish and chips from here. Also enjoyed that the chicken nuggets were actual chunks of chicken breast in a light batter rather than overly processed. Staff very friendly too.
